Two days ago my GLIF universal smartphone tripod mount arrived. I ordered the GLIF at Amazon. I was pleased that it arrived on-time on the day that was stated the day I placed the order.

As its called on Amazon - the...

It's actually a pretty solid product. At a rate of $30 i'm sure their making a pretty penny on each sale. But as the owner of an iPhone 5s I have been conditioned to accessory prices beginning at $29. So this item comes in at the low end of the spectrum.
I was expecting to use the GLIF only on a tripod. I figured it would live on the tripod and be used occasionally. I don't often use a tripod. But I have had a few days where I really wanted a steady shot from my iPhone 5s and I didn't have a good solution until now.

GLIF is lightweight and versatile. More that just a tripod mount.

GLIF makes a great kickstand. Once the size is set by the included hex wrench you can leave that tool at home. The GLIF has some flex to it that allows the smartphone to slide in and out of its grip.

I prefer to have my EarPods connected and press the volume + to take the photo. The only difficulty I experienced while using the GLIF on a tripod per the last two days is that the screen on my iPhone 5s is hard to view. When the phone is in my hand I can easily adjust the position and angle for better viewing. This is not a con for the GLIF but a shortcoming of the iPhone.
The tropical milkweed photo is the first iPhone 5s tripod picture I have taken. I was pretty happy with the results. The photo of the tropical milkweed is a link to my favorite website: GrowMilkweedPlants.com where you can buy seeds to grow this beautiful plant yourself.

Overall I am very happy with the GLIF and I think it's a solid accessory that securely holds my phone for steady shots.

The last thing that is worth telling you is that the price on Amazon.com verses the direct sales site for Studio Neat is the same. It's currently $30 at each point of sale. As an Amazon Prime member it was actually less expensive to buy thru Amazon. If your ready to buy one now you may click thru my affiliate link below and check out the details of what other owners are saying about this product.
